Knight's cross

The Order of the Crown of Yugoslavia was founded on April 5, 1930 by King Alexander I of Yugoslavia as a general Order of Merit and was intended to reward the state and the royal family for service. It could also be awarded to foreigners.

The medal is a silver - gold - plated, white enamelled cross with four small golden spheres on the tips of the cross. The bead on the upper cross arm is slightly larger, followed by an oval oak wreath to which the support ring is attached. A thick green-enameled laurel wreath runs under the cross arms .

In the white enamelled medallion , enclosed by a golden hoop, a golden royal crown with enamelled inlays in different colors . On the back of the medallion is the date 3 - X 1929 (foundation of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia ) interrupted by a golden crown .

Carrying method

The Grand Cross is carried on a sash from the right shoulder to the left hip, as well as with a four- pointed silver-gold-plated breast star on which the medal rests. The Grand Officer and the Commander carry the award as a neck medal ; Grand officers also have a slightly reduced breast star. Officers and knights decorate the medal on the ribbon on the left side of the chest.

The ribbon is blue.
