The security forces of Iran are the police security organ of the Islamic Republic of Iran . This organization was created in early 1992 by merging the police , gendarmerie and the Islamic Revolutionary Committee .

history

The history of the Iranian police can be traced back to 1910. The state Persian gendarmerie was the first modern police force in Iran and was primarily responsible for rural areas. The police established themselves in the cities . In 1952, during the reign of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi , the domestic intelligence service SAVAK was added.
