The Russian Code of Administrative Offenses ( Russian Кодекс Российской Федерации об административных правонарушениях, КоАП РФ ) regulates the administrative offenses law in the Russian Federation . The current version of the Code of Administrative Offenses was adopted by the State Duma on December 20, 2001 and signed by the President of Russia on December 30, 2001 . It came into force on July 1, 2002 .

The requirements and legal consequences of criminal acts are contained in the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation , which came into force on January 1, 1997.
