Orstomaleyrodes fimbriae is a moth scale insect from the Aleyrodidae family.

Occurrence

The plant louse is found in West and Central Africa , finds are from Angola, Cameroon, Chad, Congo, Ghana, the Ivory Coast and Nigeria. the following have been specified as host plants: Tecoma stans Bignoniaceae ; Combretum bracteatum Combretaceae ; Baphia nitida , Cassia siamea , Newtonia glandulifera Fabaceae ; Caloncoba welwitschii Achariaceae ; Paullinia pinnata Sapindaceae ; Celtis milbraedii Ulmaceae .

Systematics and nomenclature

Orstomaleyrodes fimbriae was scientifically described for the first time in 1965 by Laurence A. Mound as Aleuroplatus fimbriae .
