Oscar Sutermeister

Oscar Sutermeister (born January 29, 1912 in Kansas City (Missouri) , † August 16, 1988 in Grand Marais (Minnesota) ) was an American city ​​planner .

In 1932 he finished his bachelor's degree at Harvard University , where he also earned a master's degree in regional planning and taught for five years before World War II. During the war he served in the United States Navy in the Pacific; after that he was employed in the Navy and worked on urban planning, housing and transportation projects. Eventually he worked as a legislative specialist with the United States Department of Construction .
