Oscar Tiefenthal

Oscar Tiefenthal (born November 22, 1956 in Hamburg ) is a German journalist. Since 2009 he has headed the Evangelical School of Journalism in Berlin .

Career

From 2002 to 2009 he was deputy editor-in-chief at Nordkurier in Neubrandenburg . Since 2008 he has also been managing director of four regional publishers of the Kurierverlags-Holding. From 1990 to 2002 Oscar Tiefenthal was chief editor and news chief of Welt am Sonntag , from 1987 to 1989 political editor at Bild-Zeitung Hamburg and Bonn.

He worked as a development editor for Der Tag des Axel-Springer-Verlag . After completing his traineeship at the Harburger Werbung und Nachrichten (HAN), he started working there in 1986 as a sports and local editor. Oscar Tiefenthal studied law and political science at the University of Hamburg .
