Oskar Johann Kaiser (born February 28, 1907 in Niedereschach ; † 2001 in Villingen ) was a German entrepreneur in the Black Forest watch industry

Life

Oskar Kaiser was born as the son of the industrialist Josef Kaiser into an entrepreneurial family in Baden. His father is considered to be one of the co-founders of industrialized watch production in the Black Forest in Baden . Oskar Johann Kaiser received training in various Black Forest clock factories and trained as an engineer in Chemnitz . He volunteered at Kienzle in Villingen , among others . Kaiser was managing partner of the watch factory in Villingen , co-owner of the Badische watch factories in Furtwangen and partner of the Kaiser brothers works in Kenzingen , which were taken over by Grundig in the late 1960s .

He was u. a. Member of the supervisory board of the Heinemann brothers machine factories in St. Georgen (see Heinemann brothers, St. Georgen), long-time city councilor in Villingen, curator of the state engineering school in Furtwangen, committee member of the employers' association of the Baden iron and metal industry in Freiburg and member of the German Society for Chronometry in Stuttgart as well as head of the examination board of the state watchmaking school. He was married to the daughter of the entrepreneur Wilhelm Heinemann, co-owner of the Heinemann brothers machine factories from St. Georgen in the Black Forest . Kaiser died in 2001 in his hometown of Villingen. His brother was the entrepreneur Franz Josef Kaiser , President of the Association of the Watch Industry, member of the board of the Association of the German Metal Industry and chairman of the Baden employers' association. Oskar Kaiser's son, the engineer Jürgen-Josef Kaiser, was a partner in the Kaiser group of companies and later a professor of precision engineering.
