Oskar Wirth

Oskar Wirth (born March 28, 1884 in Unterschefflenz , † January 19, 1956 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a German politician ( BCSV , CDU ).

Life

After attending elementary school, Wirth completed an apprenticeship in the metalworking trade and worked as a traveling journeyman in various cities in Germany and Switzerland from 1899 to 1902 . He then worked as a fitter in Freiburg, where he had been a member of the Protestant parish council from 1920. During the Weimar Republic he was one of the founders of the Christian Social People's Service in Baden .

After the Second World War , Wirth joined the BCSV, which later became the Baden regional association of the CDU. From 1946 to 1947 he was a member of the Advisory State Assembly of the State of Baden .
