Ostermünchen ( Bavarian Ostaminga ) is a village in the Rosenheim district (Upper Bavaria). With around 1,300 inhabitants, it is the largest part of the municipality of Tuntenhausen .

The place was founded in the 11th century by monks from the Tegernsee monastery. In the 20th century it owes its growth to the location on the Munich – Rosenheim railway line , where Ostermünchen has a train station .

The townscape is determined by the parish church of St. Stephan and St. Laurentius, built in 1504 . The grave of the former Federal Finance Minister Fritz Schäffer is located in the parish cemetery .
