Ostkreutz is a German rock band from Berlin . The name is derived from the Berlin Ostkreuz train station .

history

The group Ostkreutz was founded in 2004 in Berlin by the musicians Maximum and Minimum . The video artist Medium joined later .

After the band had signed a record deal with Warner Music Group , the single Gangbang was released there in April 2006 and the album Motor in September 2006 . In the summer of the same year Ostkreutz played various concerts - for example as the opening act for Dir En Gray - and was also represented at some festivals, for example Rock am Ring / Rock im Park and With Full Force .

style

Ostkreutz use partly German for their texts , partly a fantasy language based on Slavic languages . The band's performances consist of a close combination of music and synchronized video sequences. The band calls this concept "audiovisual terror". Another stylistic feature of the group is a strong textual reduction.
