Eastern Zone Soup Cube Crab was alongside Cpt in the late 1980s . Kirk &. and Kolossale Jugend one of the first significant bands that music critics assigned to the so-called Hamburg School . Musically, Carsten Hellberg (guitar; vocals), Philipp Bussmann (guitar, formerly bass), Thorsten "Taucher" Weßel (bass, formerly guitar), Harry Wagener (drums) and the guitarist Tilmann Heyden, who remained until 1993, were independent from the start - 1980s rock.
history
In 1990 the record label L'age d'or released their first record, For home , which contained a large part in English and a small part in German. Two years later, Absolut wasn't released . The track Blues from this album was played frequently on the music channel MTV . In 1994 the third album Keinseier was released . It was a pure instrumental recording. In 1996 the EP Leichteteile, produced by Christian Mevs ( slime guitarist), was released . The songs again had lyrics that were written exclusively in German. Shortly thereafter, an EP, Little Rock , was released. Both EPs were combined on the CD Leichteteile - Kleiner Rock .
The band's name refers to a headline “East Zone Soup Cubes Bring Cancer” from the early days of the Bild newspaper . The corresponding edition appeared on August 2, 1952 and referred to the harmful effects of Igelit components in Bino products .
