Oswald Haslinger

Oswald Haslinger (born June 2, 1883 in Königsberg i. Pr. , † August 9, 1935 there ) was a German shipping merchant.

Life

As the brother of Erich Haslinger , after graduating from high school, he did vocational training with several forwarding companies . In 1910 he became a partner in the Robert Meyhoefer shipping company . In the First World War he took part as a pioneer officer. He received the Iron Cross of both classes. In 1915 he became an expert on shipping issues, most recently in the Grand Headquarters . He initiated the East Prussian sea service . He was commercial judge (1921) and Finnish consul (1926). He was married to Hildegarde Haslinger geb. Feeder. He died at the age of 52.
