Oswald Philipp von Eyczing

Oswald Philipp von Eyczing , also Oswald Philipp von Eitzing and Oswald Philipp von Eytzing (* 1512 ; † 1587 ) was an Austrian nobleman from the Eyczinger family and a Lower Austrian civil servant .

Oswald Philipp von Eyczing Freiherr auf Schrattenthal was the son of Michael I. Freiherr von Eitzing and Anna von Seeburg. From 1558 to 1561, Oswald was the Lower Austrian regimental councilor, then as emperor. Hofkammerrat in Hungary and from 1569 back in the Lower Austrian provincial government ( regiment ). In 1573 he became deputy and from 1582 until his death in 1587 governor of Austria under the Enns. He was also Colonel Chamberlain in Austria and Privy Councilor of Emperor Rudolf II.

His first marriage was to Maria Anna von Staatz, Truchsessin, and his second to Barbara Freiin von Pemffling. His son from his second marriage, Erasmus, was a district captain (VOMB and VUMB).
