Oswald Weinhart

Oswald Weinhart (born October 11, 1840 in Weilheim ; † June 18, 1899 there ) was a German politician. From 1881 he was mayor of Weilheim and from 1893, as a member of the center, he was a member of the second chamber of the Bavarian state parliament .

After attending primary school in Weilheim from 1846 to 1852, Weinhart worked there as a saddler and upholsterer for five years. Then he went on a journey that led him to Austria-Hungary, Transylvania, Württemberg and northern Germany. From 1862 to 1868 he served as a non-commissioned officer in the Bavarian army . From 1870 he built a wallpapering business with a car factory in his hometown, from which he retired into private life in 1886.

In 1881 he was elected mayor of Weilheim. In the elections on 5./12. July 1893 he was with 165 electoral votes for the district Weilheim 1 in the XXXII. Bavarian state parliament elected.
