Oswalt Kolle: The Miracle of Love II - Sexual Partnership is a German educational film from 1968 by Oswalt Kolle .

action

In a prologue, Kolle talks with two scientists about whether the sexual revolution can still be stopped and whether "the pill spoils morale". In the main part of the film, Kolle uses selected examples to describe how the human relationship to sexuality can be shaped from an early age by traumatic childhood and adolescent events and how each person forms their own ideas of sexuality and a fulfilled partnership through these experiences. This is illustrated by the example of Michael and Monika, a young married couple. The respective childhood of the two as well as their first sexual experiences are shown to the viewer.

Special

The prologue, as well as the childhood of the two protagonists, was filmed in black and white, while the main part (from the point where Michael and Monika meet for the first time) was filmed in color. The film, as well as the first part, can be seen as a model for the first report films of the early 1970s ( schoolgirl report ), but Kolle still focuses on the education and not the mere sexual act. Which is why the report film can also be seen as a parody of the educational film .

criticism

"In its seriousness and the honesty of its intentions, the film differs considerably from other speculative films, but, like the first part, does not prove in the design that clarification in the film makes sense and is possible."
