Werner M. Lenz

Werner M. Lenz (born July 29, 1923 in Hamburg ) is a German cameraman and film director .

After training in photography, he became a documentary filmmaker and camera assistant to Willy Winterstein . As a head cameraman, he began with homeland films, followed by military and musical comedies.

Since 1961 Lenz worked almost exclusively for Gero Wecker's Arca Film, with crime, adventure and agent films now dominating. Since 1967 he has been the camera operator for Oswalt Kolle's educational films and has been a director several times. Lenz ended his career in film in 1972 and moved to Spain a little later.
