Solvi Stübing (born January 13, 1941 in Berlin ; † July 3, 2017 in Rome ) was a German actress .

Life

Stübing gained her first film experience in 1964 when she got a role alongside Jean-Claude Brialy in I knew her well . In the following 15 years she played in almost 30 genre and sex films, mostly Italian, but also German productions, in which the blonde, slim actress was mostly cast as an eye-catcher and stood by the hero. Her name was mostly given as "Solvi (or Solvy) Stubing". However, she gained particular fame as the face of the advertising campaign for the Peroni beer brand , which - initially in black and white, later in color - was featured in numerous commercials and advertisements and became an icon of the advertising industry. From the 1980s onwards she played only very sporadically and instead took over the moderation of several film magazines on Italian private broadcasters.

Stübing has graced the covers of men's magazines (including the Italian Playboy ) and also for photo novels several times .

politics

Solvi Stübing has been involved in Italian politics since the late 1980s. After rather curious beginnings (in the city council election in Rome she ran for the pensioners party ) she was a member of a European commission for women's issues and ran for the Alleanza Nazionale 2004 for the European Parliament .
