The young tigers of Hong Kong is a German action and adventure film with sex and crime elements from 1969 by Ernst Hofbauer .

action

The US test pilot Rodney Anderson who deserted from Vietnam has come to Hong Kong to look for his wife, who works as a photo model. It would appear that she ran away with her photographer. Her last sign of life came from the British Crown Colony. Anderson's first lead leads to the infamous “Schocker Club”, which is run by a rather bad and rich guy named Walter Hinrichs. Together with his followers, a gang of bored, spoiled upper-class urchins, he passes the time with dangerous and infantile tests of courage such as "Russian Roulette", which give them a kick. The spinning of the “young tigers” soon took on such forms that the Hong Kong police felt compelled to put the “shocker club” and its members under surveillance.

Opposite the gang is a veritable criminal organization that has dedicated itself to the girl and drug trafficking and also otherwise holds an important role in organized crime. The head of this criminal ring is a certain consul van Dreegen, who is also the father of the "shocker club" Karl van Dreegen. Anderson, still looking for his wife with his old friend Bob, gets caught between the fronts and gets to know the young striptease dancer Ann in the “Roxy Club”. Little does he know that the curvy blonde is in the service of old van Dreegen. However, she has to pay for her actions with severe abuse - she is flogged. The two gangs soon clash, and the gang of criminals quickly shows the young snobbies how real gangsters behave.

criticism

“The rich, young useless people of the Far Eastern rogue metropolis have no other plans than to kill each other out of sheer boredom. But when they torture the son of a gangster lord to death, it goes to your collar. But even the ruler of drugs, willing girls, bad killers, must fear for his life, because he is back in the field of fire of the hero on duty. A strip of the usual crime thriller, in which the tension is not neglected. "

- Hamburger Abendblatt from March 13, 1971

In the lexicon of the international film it says: "The alleged understanding of the protest of the youth against the rotten adult world serves only as an alibi for a massive series of sadistic brutalities and sex acts."
