Barbara Capell

Barbara Capell (born January 23, 1950 in Recklinghausen ) is a former German actress and writer with a short career in film 1968–1971.

Life

Capell initially worked as a photo model . In 1968 she was offered her first film (part) role in Peter and Sabine . In the next two years she played in several movies, all entertainment films, mostly harmless to embarrassing celluloid trash with soft sex elements, in which the attractive, long-haired brunette with the distinctive high cheekbones regularly appeared bare-breasted. So she took on the role of Fränzi in Rolf Thiele's "harmless entertainment film" Come on, my dearest bird (1968) in an episode of the film . In the "harmless sex comedy" Josefine, the dearest kitten (1969), she played a "precocious fruit" directed by Géza von Cziffra . In the "ridiculous sex comedy" All Kittens Like to Snack on (1969) she was seen as Monique the laundress , for whose favor a senile count and a choleric colonel vied. In the "Sexschwank" Die liebestollen Baronessen (1969) she played as Veronica a young baroness who is on vacation on a farm and is looking for erotic adventures with the male staff. In the April 1973 issue, Capell was also featured on the cover picture and in a photo series in the German edition of Playboy .

Her last film was in 1970 with the part of a student - the other student played the Viennese actress Gaby Fuchs , who was the same age  , in the Spanish-German horror film Night of the Vampires . Almost at the same time she made her debut in front of the television camera: in the US production Constantly in Fear , filmed in Germany , she played the role of young Anna, who was portrayed as a mature woman by Lilli Palmer . Capell then had a few TV roles - u. a. in The story of a fat woman , On behalf of Madame , The perpetrator on the trail , The little doctor and the French multi-part from 1972 Education of the Heart ( L´éducation sentimentale ). In 1974 she took on the role of the abandoned Count's wife Madeleine at the side of Ingeborg Hallstein and Adolf Dallapozza in the ZDF film adaptation of the operetta Madame Pompadour . Barbara Capell remained active on television until the mid-1970s, but was also able to prove herself in the afternoon entertainment in the ARD children's series Lemmi und die Schmöker .

As early as 1973 she created a second mainstay as a writer when she wrote the screenplay for the short film Der Raub . Since the mid-1980s Capell has been writing plays , particularly in the field of boulevard theater . In 1985 her comedy Mickey Mouse and Einstein premiered in the comedy on Kurfürstendamm with Herbert Herrmann and Ute Willing in the leading roles. The piece was also played on tour in Cologne , Hamburg , Düsseldorf and Munich . In 1987 the tabloid game of Mickey Mouse and Einstein was also shown on television.

For the actress Karin Dor , Capell and her husband, the actor and tabloid author Gunther Beth , wrote the play Man Loves Only Three Times or The Cat , which premiered in 2001. This piece has also been presented several times on tours, including in 2008 in the comedy in the Bayerischer Hof in Munich. Together with Beth, she also wrote the tabloid pieces Don't trust anyone over 60! (World premiere 1992), Who wakes the lion (World premiere 1998), I would like to be like you (World premiere 2000) and Welcome to the Club (World premiere 2002). In Capell's tabloid comedy Who Wakes the Lion , Claus Biederstaedt played the aging artist agent Leo Copperschmidt in the comedy on Kurfürstendamm in 2000 .

In 2002, Capell's play Miss Berlin premiered , also at the Komödie am Kurfürstendamm. Julia Stelter , Michael Schanze , Michèle Marian and Elisabeth Wiedemann played the main roles . In 2008 she also wrote the play New Year's Eve .
