Walter Boos

Michael Walter Boos (born November 22, 1928 in Munich , † November 22, 1996 in Grünwald ) was a German film editor , film director and screenwriter .

Live and act

Boos began as a trainee at the Münchner Kammerspiele and made it through to assistant director. In 1946 he went to Bavaria Film , where he initially worked as an assistant editor and in 1948 for the first time as an editor. He directed numerous productions the Editor from, including several with lead actor Heinz Rühmann .

From 1956 he was temporarily employed as an assistant director , but due to a lack of opportunities he returned to working as an editor in the second half of the sixties, mainly for television. It was only in the wake of the sex wave that he was able to assert himself as a director. Above all, numerous report films , including many parts of the extremely successful film series Schoolgirl Report, go to his account. In the last few years of his career, Boos returned to working as an editor for television.
