Oswin Haas (* 1955 in Hagen ) is a German piano teacher , pianist and composer .

Life

Oswin Haas graduated from the Academy of Music in Frankfurt , where he graduated with the piano teacher's diploma. He later went to France , where he devoted himself to a second degree in psychology and philosophy at the Université Paul Valéry in Montpellier . After graduating, Haas founded and directed the Pianopoly music schools in France and Germany. In addition, he worked as a freelancer for the “Lettre du musicien” in Paris . For many years he worked as a piano teacher and pianist.

He also composed special piano pieces for piano lessons.

In “Captain Finger” (1989) these pieces are based on the specific haptics of piano playing and the particular characteristics of the piano keyboard. They are based on pieces such as the Flea Waltz or the "Butterbrot" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart .

In the “Pianopoly Klavierschule” (1989, 2003-2005), Haas pursues the goal of combining five different types of learning (musical notation, auditory play, [haptic] imitation, improvisation and techniques [finger technique, accompaniment, chord numbering, etc.]) To ensure the greatest possible learning intensity, whereby self-didactic learning is also given a special role, in that in addition to the grades and in-depth written explanations, audios and videos are available to the student (CD, Internet).

The five-volume "Piano Album With A Smile" (2004–2006) with two four-hand and three solo volumes is a kind of modern youth album, which is intended to give piano learners the opportunity to play specially composed and pedagogically organized pop and jazz-oriented piano music.
