The Otago Spur is a small rock spur in the West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . In the Ohio Range of the Horlick Mountains , it extends from the Buckeye Table west of Discovery Ridge in a northerly direction.
The United States Geological Survey mapped it using its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1958 to 1959. A team of geologists from the New Zealand Antarctic Research Program examined it between 1983 and 1984 and gave it its name. Namesake is the University of Otago , alma mater of Jonathan Aitchison, who belonged to this team.
