Otfried Kastner
Otfried Franz Karl Kastner (born May 21, 1899 in Steyr , † 1988 in Linz ) was an Austrian art historian , local researcher, author and university professor .
Life
Otfried Kastner studied art history and was a professor at the Technical University of Linz from 1943 to 1945 .
He was the author of numerous local and art history books and articles, for example for the yearbooks of the Upper Austrian Museum Association . He also worked for the Upper Austrian State Museums .
Otfried Kastner was the brother of the art collector Walther Kastner .
