Otis Burrell

Otis Burrell (born May 9, 1944 in Los Angeles , California ) is a former multiple American high jump master , trainer and university professor.

Life

At the age of 18, Burrell was the best young high jumper in the USA (2.08 m). Since his grades as a graduate of Fremond High School in Los Angeles were insufficient for admission to university, he attended the 'San Fernando Valley Junior College' from 1963 to 1965. He then received a full sports scholarship at the University of Nevada at Reno , which he He graduated with a bachelor's degree in sports science in 1968. He then returned to Los Angeles and started fortasn for the Southern California Striders . He was American high jump champion in 1965–1967 and 1969.
