Otto Bail

Otto Karl Bail (born February 29, 1904 in Danzig ; † 1987 ) was a German economist.

Life

Bail completed his training as a business graduate with a book and tax auditor exam. From 1934 to 1939 he worked for the Reichsbank in Berlin. During this time he is preparing for his doctorate at the Handelshochschule Berlin . Between 1940 and 1942 he was the chief foreign exchange auditor at the Oberfinanzpräsident Düsseldorf, then from 1942 to 1945 he was an advisor at the Reich Ministry of Economics . In 1943 he was appointed to the government council. From 1946 he worked in the finance department of the President of the North Rhine -Province and in the Ministry of Finance of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, and from 1947 in the Ministry of Economics. In 1947 he was appointed senior government councilor , ministerial councilor in 1950 and ministerial director in 1952 . From 1949 he was also stock exchange commissioner at the Rheinisch-Westfälische Börse in Cologne, and from 1957 to 1962 state commissioner at the Rheinisch-Westfälische Bodenkreditbank . In 1969 he retired.
