Otto Barth (chief magistrate)

Otto Barth (* 18th May 1881 in Ulm , † 11. October 1947 ) was a württembergischer upper office man and district administrator.

Life

Otto Barth's father was a senior teacher and rector. After attending grammar school, he studied law in Tübingen . He belonged to the Hohenstaufia gymnastics club . In 1906 he passed the first and in 1908 the second higher judicial service examination. Otto Barth began his professional career in 1908 as an unskilled worker at the Stuttgart City Police Department, and in the same year he joined the Württemberg internal administration. In 1914 he became a board member of the Stuttgart City Police Office. From 1915 to 1918 he did military service and in 1921 rejoined the internal administration as a clerk at the Ehingen Oberamt. After a brief activity as administrative administrator in Künzelsau and Geislingen, he was administrative administrator of the Nürtingen regional office from 1922 to 1923 . In 1922 he became a senior official at the Münsingen regional office . The service title was changed to District Administrator in 1928. In 1929 he went to Schorndorf as district administrator and in 1933 to Ulm . In 1945 the US military government suspended him, and he was interned from 1945 to June 1947. Shortly afterwards he passed away.
