Otto Beumer

Friedrich Wilhelm Otto Beumer (born August 26, 1849 in Münster , † 1918 in Greifswald ) was a German doctor and university professor.

Life

Otto Beumer studied medicine at the University of Greifswald . In 1870 he became a member of the Corps Guestfalia . In 1874 he completed his studies with a doctorate to become Dr. med. from. He then worked until 1877 as an assistant at the pathological institute and from 1877 to 1885 as an assistant doctor at the obstetric polyclinic at the University of Greifswald. At Easter 1878 he completed his habilitation in state medicine and was appointed district and court doctor. In 1888 he was appointed associate professor of forensic medicine and hygiene and director of the Institute for Forensic Medicine.
