Robert Grosche (born June 7, 1888 in Düren , † May 21, 1967 in Cologne ) was a German Roman Catholic theologian .

Career

Grosche studied Catholic theology at the University of Bonn . In 1908 he joined the Catholic student union AV Cheruscia Münster . He was ordained a priest on August 10, 1912. From 1920 to 1930 he was a student pastor at the University of Cologne . During this time he prepared his doctoral thesis, which he presented in 1924.

From 1930 he was pastor in Brühl-Vochem , from 1941 pastor on Assumption of Mary in Cologne. In 1943 he was appointed city ​​dean and in 1944 as non-resident cathedral chapter . From 1945 he was pastor at St. Gereon .

From 1954 until his death he was honorary professor at the University of Cologne. He was editor of the controversial theological quarterly publication Catholica .

Robert Grosche died in 1967 at the age of 78 and was buried in the communal grave of the Cologne pastors in the Melaten cemetery (MA at hall 68).
