Life

He came from the Meissen noble family von Dieskau and was the son of the Saxon-Merseburg court marshal Carl von Dieskau († 1680). In the Duchy of Saxony-Merseburg , where Dieskau's goods were, he rose to the position of the Privy Council. As such he died in 1716. On December 15, 1716, a memorial sermon was given to Otto Erdmann von Dieskau in the castle and cathedral church of Merseburg by the Saxon-Merseburg government, which appeared in print as a funeral sermon .

Otto Erdmann von Dieskau married Agnesa von Krosigk (born October 17, 1667). He left behind the only son Christian Erdmann von Dieskau , who inherited his father's property.
