Otto Feist

Otto Feist (born November 18, 1872 in Bühl - Eisental , † March 3, 1939 in Karlsruhe ) was a sculptor .

Live and act

From 1888 to 1891 Otto Feist studied sculpture and fine arts at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe (then Karlsruhe School of Applied Arts). Between 1898 and 1920 he was employed as a teacher for wood carving there. He then worked as a specialist teacher at the State Art School in Karlsruhe until 1923 . Feist's works are mainly located in Karlsruhe. His best-known work is the Indian fountain, which he executed together with the sculptor August Meyerhuber . In Karlsruhe he was best known for the design of tombs.
