Otto Götz (born April 11, 1895 in Bettenhausen , † February 18, 1995 in Eisenach ) was one of the best German solvers of chess compositions of the 20th century, chess composer and chess player.

Chess composition

In 1922 Götz began solving chess problems in the Arbeiter-Schachzeitung . He later worked as a solver in chess echo and since January 1950 he was a constant solver in chess . With almost 20,000 points (corresponds to the correct solving of 10,000 two-moves) he led the eternal solver list of this chess magazine on his 80th birthday .

Götz rarely composed himself. This move is his only Orthodox task.
