Otto Harlan

Otto Harlan (June 1840 - March 15, 1905 ) was a German farmer, banker and consul.

Harlan became co-owner of the Heinrich Wilhelm Bassenge bank in Dresden in 1868 .

Harlan was married to Bertha Elisa Bienert, the daughter of the industrialist Gottlieb Traugott Bienert . The founder of the Harlan family of artists , Walter Harlan , was his son.

The Saxon king appointed him consul of Colombia in 1881 . At the beginning of the 20th century he owned the Mohrenhaus in Niederlößnitz and the manor in Uhsmannsdorf (Oberlausitz). The remains of his grave are in the Old Annenfriedhof in Dresden.
