Otto Heinrich Ludwig zu Solms

Otto Heinrich Ludwig Graf zu Solms-Sonnewalde (* February 1740 in Schköna ; † March 3, 1814 ibid) was an electoral Saxon and from 1806 royal Saxon privy councilor and manor owner and registrar of the Sonnewalde lordship .

Life

He came from the noble family of the Counts of Solms , specifically from the Saxon branch of the Solms-Lich line founded by Philipp Graf zu Solms in 1537 , and was the son of Adolph Ludwig Graf zu Solms . Like many members of his family, he also embarked on an administrative career at the Dresden court , where he initially became a chamberlain . In 1805 he had already been appointed to the Privy Council.

After the death of his father in 1760, Adolph Ludwig Graf zu Solms inherited his two manors, Rösa and Schköna in the Electorate of Saxony . Later he received the rule of Sonnewalde by inheritance from his uncle Friedrich Eberhard Graf zu Solms after this branch of the Solms family died out.

Otto Heinrich Graf zu Solms-Sonnewalde was married to Louisa Wilhelmina Friedericka, née von Bähr , a natural daughter of Prince Viktor II. Friedrich von Anhalt-Bernburg .

  • The daughter Albertina Elisabeth Countess zu Solms was of legal age in 1814. Her husband Johann Leopold Neumann was adopted by his mother-in-law and raised to the Prussian nobility in 1829 as "von Baehr".
  • The daughter Augusta Christina Gräfin zu Solms, born in 1771, died before the age of one on March 21, 1772.
