Otto Herrmann (born July 11, 1890 in Märstetten ; † August 26, 1965 in Frauenfeld , reformed , resident in Frauenfeld) was a Swiss politician (SP) .

biography

Otto Herrmann was born on July 11, 1890 as the son of the shoemaker Karl Wilhelm Herrmann in Märstetten. Herrmann was initially employed as an unskilled laborer, later he trained as a typographer . Otto Herrmann, who married Marie, the daughter of Johann Heinrich Schmid, in 1920, died in Frauenfeld on August 26, 1965, just after he had turned 75.

The member of the SP worked as the second secretary of the Thurgau workers' secretariat between 1919 and 1941 . He then acted as a notary for the then Frauenfeld district until 1946 . In addition, Herrmann was a member of the Frauenfeld municipal council from 1919 to 1946 . As a result, he served as the first social democratic mayor of Frauenfeld until 1955 . In addition, Herrmann was represented in the Thurgau Grand Council from 1926 to 1956 , which he presided over in 1940/1941.
