Otto Hess (born March 18, 1935 in Häuslen ; † February 17, 2014 ) was a Swiss politician (SVP) .

biography

Otto Hess was born in Häuslen on March 18, 1935, the son of the BGB politician Otto Hess . First he attended the agricultural school in Arenenberg . In 1959, Hess passed the agricultural professional examination and in 1969 the master craftsman examination. Subsequently, the parents' farm took over . In addition, from 1974 to 1984 Hess acted as president of the Roggwil school community and as president of the Thurgau milk producers' association. In addition, he served as a member of the supervisory commission of the Arenenberg Agricultural School from 1969 to 1996. In addition, from 1991 to 2005, Hess was Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Thurella -Genossenschaft fruit processing company in Eastern Switzerland and from 1999 to 2001 of Swiss Dairy Food AG . Otto Hess died on February 17, 2014 at the age of 78.

The SVP member Otto Hess worked in the Thurgau Grand Council from 1984 to 1988 and in the National Council from 1987 to 1999 , where he chaired the Security Commission.
