Otto Heyer (Mining Captain)

Otto Heyer (baptized name: Johannes Hermann Otto) (born March 30, 1880 in Duisburg-Ruhrort ; † April 13, 1945 in Lüdenscheid ) was Mining Captain of the Bonn Mining Authority .

Life

After graduating from high school in Moers in 1899, Otto Heyer studied at the Bergakademie in Berlin and, after taking the two state examinations, worked as a mining assessor in the Dortmund Oberbergamts district in 1910 . After working as an unskilled worker in various companies, he did military service from 1914 . After the war he was initially a mountain master at the bathing administration in Bad Oeynhausen . Before he became Bergrat in the Dortmund mining district in 1927, he was managing director of the Anna-Elsa oil works in Oeynhausen. On August 15, 1933, he was appointed Mining Captain of the Bonn Mining Authority and remained in this position until March 1945.

Heyer became a member of the NSDAP in 1937 .
