Otto Kastl

Otto Kastl (born August 21, 1947 in Gudensberg ) is a former German soccer player .

Stations as a club player

As a teenager, Kastl was initially active as a track and field athlete , especially in the sprint over 100 meters . As part of the German A youth championship, he won the title in the 4x100 meter relay in 1965 . As a footballer, the full-back came in 1966 from his home club TSV Gudensberg to the traditional North Hessian club KSV Hessen Kassel , for which he played 262 games in the Regionalliga Süd and scored a total of 30 goals. He had an offer from Hamburger SV , which he refused. In the 1974/75 season, after missing qualification for the newly created 2nd Bundesliga , Kastl played 36 times in the amateur league Hessen for KSV Hessen, before moving to league competitor KSV Baunatal in 1975 , with whom he rose to the 2nd Bundesliga South in 1976 . Between 1976 and 1979 Otto Kastl played 83 second division games as a defender and scored one goal. After the relegation of the Baunatal in 1979, he ended his active career. After his football career, he worked as a customer service technician in Kassel until his retirement in 2009.

Kastl is the father of two children and now lives with his wife as a pensioner in Gudensberg .
