Otto Krack (born August 23, 1865 in Schwerin , † October 6, 1942 in Berlin-Dahlem ) was editor at the Berlin August Scherl publishing house, where he was responsible for the newspaper Die Woche .

Life

Krack, son of a master carpenter , studied after visiting the Schwerin Friedericianum in Rostock, Berlin and Heidelberg. He received his doctorate as Dr. Lit. at the University of Heidelberg on December 10, 1898 with the subject of contributions to the influence of Chrétien de Troyes on the authors of the other Arthurian poems . He lived as a freelance writer until 1899 and then took over the editing of the newly founded newspaper Die Woche . Krack lived in Berlin, Unter den Eichen 93, until his death. In the week no. 42 was published the day he died, 21 October 1942 an obituary.
