Otto Kronauer

Otto Kronauer (born December 8, 1850 in Winterthur ; † April 19, 1922 there , entitled to live in Winterthur) was a Swiss lawyer and federal prosecutor .

Life

The son of the district court clerk Jakob Kronauer and Johanna Louise Kronauer born. Rüttimann studied law and was a clerk, from 1875 adjunct in the governor's office and in 1878 public prosecutor for the canton of Zurich . From 1890 he was a member of the higher court and president of the jury. From 1899 to 1916 he was the successor of Jakob Albert Scherb Federal Prosecutor General ("Federal Prosecutor"). Kronauer worked in the field of criminal law, criminal procedure law and the execution of sentences (including the draft law and Federal Council message on the Anarchist Act 1906). He dealt with pending homeless cases and had anarchists and social democrats monitored in particular. In the period from 1916 to 1918 he still held the position of permanent representative of the Federal Prosecutor's Office.

Kronauer had been married to Clara Mathilde Kunkler since 1879, and they divorced in 1889.
