Otto Kroy (born November 16, 1874 in Libochowan , Bohemia , † November 16, 1937 in Vienna ) was an Austrian politician ( German Radical Party ) and railway official. Between 1918 and 1919 he was a member of the Provisional National Assembly .

Life

Kroy attended secondary school in Leitmeritz and worked as chief reviser of the kk state railways in Schreckenstein . He was first chairman of the Reich Association of German Railway Workers in Austria and the central organization of German civil servants, servants and workers of the Austrian railways. He also worked as an editor of the organ "The German Railroader". Kroy stood in the Reichsrat election in 1907 for the German Radical Party in the constituency of Oberleutensdorf-Görkau-Eidlitz ( Bohemia 85 ) and achieved a relative majority with 36 percent of the votes in the first ballot. In the runoff election, he finally prevailed against the social democrat Franz Ebert with around 53 percent . He was a member of the Railway Committee and the Social Insurance Committee. In the 1911 Reichsrat election, Kroy was able to successfully defend his seat. He got 44 percent of the vote in the first ballot and was able to prevail in the runoff election with around 53 percent against the Social Democratic candidate. After the collapse of the Habsburg Monarchy between 1918 and 1919, Kroy belonged to the Provisional National Assembly, where he belonged to the German National Association (German Radical Party).

Kroy was buried on November 20, 1937 in the Vienna Central Cemetery (group 3, row 10, number 31).
