Otto Pietsch

Otto Pietsch (born March 27, 1874 in Königsberg , † September 17, 1960 in Goslar ) was a German writer .

Life

Otto Pietsch received his doctorate in 1898 at the University of Königsberg with a thesis on Friedrich Schiller . He later lived in Heidelberg and Frankfurt on the Oder .

Otto Pietsch was the author of novels , short stories and poems . His greatest success was the fantastic novel The Conscience of the World , of which several new editions appeared between 1915 and 1930 .

His novel The Adventure of Lady Glane was filmed in 1913 under the same title .
