Otto Piper (politician)
Otto Piper (born August 20, 1882 in Neustrelitz ; † May 2, 1946 there ) was a German lawyer and politician of the DVP .
Life
Otto Piper was born as the younger son of the lawyer and district court president Carl Piper (1837-1919) and his wife Margarethe, b. Siemerling (* 1852) born. Carl Anton Piper (1874–1938) was his older brother. He attended the Carolinum grammar school in Neustrelitz and from 1901 studied law and political science at the universities of Heidelberg , Munich and Rostock . In Rostock he was promoted to Dr. jur. PhD . He settled in Neustrelitz as a lawyer and later worked as a notary and ministerial advisor.
From 1918 to 1919 he was a member of the German People's Party of the Constituent Assembly of the Landtag of the Free State of Mecklenburg-Strelitz . During this time he was Minister of State of Mecklenburg-Strelitz in the Peter Stubmann government .
