Otto prophet
Otto Heinrich Propheter (born June 29, 1875 in Mannheim , † December 1, 1927 in Karlsruhe ) was a court painter of Baden.
Otto Propheter studied painting from 1891 to 1901 at the Grand Ducal Badische Kunstschule Karlsruhe under Ferdinand Keller .
Propheter initially painted landscapes, later he occupied himself with portrait painting based on the model of Franz Lenbach .
For the Badischer Hof he portrayed Grand Duke Friedrich , Grand Duchess Luise , Princess Viktoria , Hereditary Grand Duke Friedrich and Princess Hilda von Nassau . Propheter also portrayed representatives of big industry, u. a. Members of the Krupp family .
