Otto Schläpfer
Otto Schläpfer (born March 11, 1931 in Davos ; † 2015 ) was a Swiss ice hockey player and coach .
Career
Schläpfer, who acted in the position of the center, was demonstrably active for the Zürcher SC in the National League A from at least 1953 to 1962 . His greatest success with the Zurich team was - as team captain - winning the Swiss championship in the 1960/61 season . The center forward, meanwhile working as a player- coach, made a significant contribution to this success with 26 goals and a total of 32 scorer points. Another stop in his playing career was Lausanne HC .
From 1963 to 1966, he was the head coach of the EHC Kloten in the National League A behind the gang.
International
Schläpfer was on the ice for Switzerland in numerous international tournaments, a total of five World Championships and two Olympic Winter Games , in 1952 - in which Switzerland took fifth place - and in 1956 . The Davos player made a total of 13 appearances at Olympic tournaments and scored two goals.
