Otto Sommerfeld

Otto Friedrich Rudolf Sommerfeld (* 1856 ; † 1920 ) was a Prussian major general .

Otto Sommerfeld was a bearer of the Red Eagle Order III. Class with the ribbon, the Order of the Crown III. Class, the service award cross , the Kaiser Wilhelm I commemorative medal and the Knight's Cross of the Franz Joseph Order . On November 16, 1916 he was awarded the Cross II. Class with Oak Leaves and Swords of the Red Eagle Order.

From May 9, 1914 to April 2, 1915, he was brigade commander of the 82nd Infantry Brigade (Jäger Brigade) and from April 2, 1915 to July 4, 1916, brigade commander of the 229th Infantry Brigade.

In the Secret State Archive of Prussian Cultural Heritage , files with a term of 1916–1917 are stored on his person.
