Otto Steiner (producer)

Otto Thomas Steiner (born April 7, 1963 in Munich ) is a German television producer and sports official . In 2011 he was awarded the German Television Prize for the production of the series " Stellungswechsel: Job Known, Foreign Land " .

Life

He is the youngest of eight children of the Evangelical Lutheran pastor Otto Steiner and his wife Elisabeth (Lisbeth). He grew up in the Hasenbergl . Between 1985 and 1989 Otto Steiner studied documentary film and television journalism at the University of Television and Film Munich . He began his professional career in 1990 as an Executive Producer at Action Games. From 1994 he moved to Tresor TV in Munich as Head of Entertainment / Executive Producer , where he was responsible for “ Popstars ”, “ The world is laughing about it ” and “Watch out for the camera”. Since 2001 he has been managing director of Constantin Entertainment GmbH and as a producer responsible for comedy and docutainment formats, e.g. B .: Shopping Queen (VOX) or Wife Swap (RTL2).

Otto Steiner lives in Munich and is the father of four children. Since October 2017 he has been in a relationship with actress Mimi Fiedler , with whom he has been married since January 9, 2019.

Volunteering

Steiner has been a member of TSV 1860 Munich for life since November 1st, 1993 . From 2006 to 2011 he was, with interruptions, on the Supervisory Board of 1860 München KGaA. On March 28, 2007 he was appointed vice president of the association. He resigned from this post after a few months on June 11th. Then he was a member of the association's supervisory board. From August 1, 2011 until his resignation on July 28, 2013, he was its chairman. He supports the Lichtblick Hasenbergl .
