Otto von Boehn

Otto Ernst Leo von Boehn (born August 15, 1874 in Fraustadt , Province of Posen , † June 7, 1957 in Celle ) was a German gardener and local researcher.

As a royal Prussian court gardener and later as garden inspector for the garden and palace administration, he was responsible for the gardens of Celle Castle . Around 1920 he laid out the rose garden in the French Garden in Celle, which was renovated in 1996. After his retirement he worked from 1935 to 1952 as head of the Celle City Archives . In May 1956 he received the Federal Cross of Merit, First Class.

Otto-von-Boehn-Straße in Celle is named after him.
