Otto von Schwarzkopf

Otto Carl Eduard von Schwarzkopf (born July 21, 1839 in Hildesheim , † July 22, 1889 in Gradtken , East Prussia) was a German administrative lawyer and parliamentarian.

Life

Schwarzkopf was the son of a Privy Councilor in Hildesheim. He studied law in Heidelberg and Göttingen and in 1859 became a member of the Corps Vandalia Heidelberg . In 1865 he passed the assessor exam in Hanover. After working in Celle and Wöltingerode , he was assigned to the Abbey Office in Northeim in 1866 . In 1867 he became mayor in Nienburg (Weser) , in 1870 government assessor in Fallingbostel , and in 1872 at the Landdrostei in Hanover. In 1875 he was transferred to the government in Magdeburg and in 1877 a councilor at the local high presidium. In 1878 he was made governor and in 1884 district administrator for the district of Neustadt am Rübenberge . He died on a trip to East Prussia.

From 1886 until his death in 1889, Schwarzkopf was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives for the constituency of Hanover 3 (Stolzenau, Neustadt a, Rübenberge) . He belonged to the faction of the Free Conservative Party .
