coat of arms

The draft arms from the district of Neustadt am Rübenberge comes from the in Isernhagen born and later in Hannover living heraldry and crest painter peoples Gustav , who has the coat of arms of Großburgwedel , Melle village , Wunstorf has designed and many other towns. The approval of the coat of arms was granted by the Prussian State Ministry on July 27, 1934.

Coat of arms of the district of Neustadt am Rübenberge
Blazon : " Split , divided into blue and red at the front, on top of it a silver lion with gold reinforcement , at the back an upright silver horn in blue."
Justification of the coat of arms: The front half of the shield denotes the county of Wunstorf , the back the county of Wölpe . In the coat of arms of the Counts of Wunstorf was a silver lion. This county consisted of the later offices of Ricklingen and Blumenau . Ricklingen became welfisch in 1333, Blumenau in 1446 . In the coat of arms of the Counts of Wölpe there were silver buffalo horns on a blue background. This county included in all probability the later offices of Wölpe and Neustadt and most of the office of Rehburg . Neustadt was founded by Count Bernhard II von Wölpe . The Mariensee Monastery is a Wölpesche family foundation from 1215. The Counts of Wölpe died out in 1301, and in 1302 the county came to the Principality of Calenberg .
