Blumenau coat of arms
Blasonierung : "On blue , diagonally left by silver wave beams split plate in the right, upper section of the upper body of a right directional rising, gold , red - reinforced lions , five jagged crowned ; in the lower left field two crossed, stylized , golden horse heads . "
Justification of the coat of arms: In the coat of arms book of the district of Hanover it says:

“The silver wave bar stands for the Aue river, which flows through the Blumenau district. The lion refers to the family of the Counts of Roden-Wunstorf , who owned a permanent house here in the Middle Ages, and also indicates Blumenau's centuries-old role as the seat of a Brunswick-Lüneburg or royal Hanover office . The horse heads as a sign of the Lower Saxon peasant class symbolize the division of the Blumenau domain in 1936 and the associated settlement of 22 farming families who had to leave their properties in the Lüneburg Heath when a military training area was established there.
